[MOA2-WP] Re: Scanning questions

I would echo what Bob's said. We have just decided to create thumbnails
that are no more than 125 pixels in their widest dimension. This is
because one of the frequent complaints we've heard from people is that our
thumbnails weren't loading quickly enough, esp. over a modem connections.

I *do* think that thumbnails are useful for written material. If there's
a little drawing in the text, you can tell that from other pages. With
letters, you can distinguish between the opening and closing pages. If
nothing else, it's going to take more time to decide to provide thumbnails
for some pages and not others, so I'd tend to do everything consistantly.
The MOA2 viewer (correct me if I'm wrong, Rick) looks for a thumbnail, and
provides browsing that way.

We are providing a thumbnail, a "screen sized", twice screen sized, and
jumbo. The large ones are very large, and should almost contain a
warning!
