We have received completed databases from all project participants except
for Cornell, and we are busily making MOA2 objects from the databases.
Here is an update on where we are in that process:
Penn State: All objects from the database are up and can be seen through
the servlet version of the document viewer ("The HTML-based MOA II Document
Viewer") or the applet version ("The Applet-based MOA II Document Viewer")
[both available at http://sunsite.berkeley.edu/moa2]. The only problem we
have is resolving the MARC records in the PSU OPAC. Sue?
Stanford: We have some small problems in the database which will hopefully
be resolved soon, but the objects are up in a test mode and will be added
to the document viewers soon.
NYPL: Working on resolving issues within the database in order to make
linked SGML documents display correctly.
Cornell: ???
In addition to the MOA2 applet and servlet, we have also dummied up a
project "finding aid". You can take a look at this at:
http://www.oac.cdlib.org:28008/dynaweb/ead/berkeley/bancroft/moa2
Right now, the document needs a lot of work. What I need from you is:
Contact information: a name and an email address for each institution.
Also the preferred name for your institution.
Publication information: any sort of boilerplate text that you would put up
with your own finding aids.
Suggestions: we are open to comments and suggestions. In addition to this,
there will probably be a web page with information and pointers to all of
the collections included in the project.
We will add Stanford and NYPL objects to the finding aid as soon as we have
them up.
Thanks,
Merrilee
