I have a grab bag of annoucements here.

First of all, I have positive responses from all of the participating
institutions that September 28-29 works for a meeting. So much to my
suprise, we've hit upon a meeting date on the first try. We are starting
to discuss an agenda, but it seems clear to me that we have enough to talk
about to keep us occupied for 2 days, wrapping up early enough on Tuesday
for people to be able to head back home.

We are revising the draft of the White Paper, and we are aiming to have it
finished by the week of August 17th at the latest. I'm sorry that this
process has taken so long, but we had several very good late comments
which influenced our thinking. That and summer vacations have taken their
toll.

Brenda Krell in the Librarians Office here at Berkeley has begun the task
of getting your money to you. So if you've been wondering, rest assured
that the process has begun.

I will be taking vacation from tomorrow through the 7th. I'm looking
forward to hearing from you all soon.
