Susan:

We have about 2500 master CD-R disks and are keeping them in the
Digital Unit for the time being. Eventually we will store them in the
Preservation Division's microfilm vault. We are in the process of
setting up a disk array (RAID) which will also hold the master files
and these disks will be backed up to tape on a regular basis.

For those of us who have made CD-ROMs of the master images, where are you
storing these "archival" copies? Off-site, cold storage, vault, computer
systems office, in a desk drawer, etc.?
