Durant Hall Stone Lion 2/2

Architect, Durant Hall: John Galen Howard
Date of Construction: 1909-1911

Stone Lions: Acquired by the University in 1934 with private funds raised by Albert Bender. The lions were purchased from a San Francisco art dealer, and are presumably traditonal sculpture imported from China; no record of their exact origins has been found.
