Bernard Moses taught history and political science at Berkeley from 1876 to 1911. He was a leading writer and public speaker on public policy and historical issues. When student publications moved out of the old Eshleman Hall at Berkeley in the 1960s, the building was renamed Moses Hall in his honor.
