San Diego: Cultural Programs

By the mid-1960's, a student orchestra, chorus, and jazz group were formed on the San Diego campus. The chorus of 25 to 30 students was directed by Mrs. Jean Moe and gave two annual concerts, at Easter and at Christmas. The orchestra was organized under Earl Schuster, first oboist with the San Diego Symphony.
