The Signing of the Donahoe Act, April 26, 1960

Governor Brown signed the Donahoe Act, placing major sections of the Master Plan into statute. State Senator George Miller was the principal author of the act. Miller renamed the legislation in honor of Assemblywoman Donahoe, who unexpectedly died prior to final decisions on the act.
