Education: Mr. Sayles received his bachelor's degree in political science from Stanford University and his juris doctorate from Harvard Law School. Career: Tom Sayles is Senior Vice President Consumer Markets, for Energy Pacific, a joint venture of Pacific Enterprises and ENOVA Corporation. He is also a vice president of Pacific Enterprises Co. Prior to joining the Gas Company he was secretary of the California Business, Transportation and Housing Agency. From 1991 to 1992 he worked for the State of California as commissioner of corporations. He served as senior legal counsel for TRW, Inc. from 1982 to 1991 and for the California Attorney General's Office as deputy attorney general from 1977 to 1979. He was the assistant U.S. Attorney from 1979 to 1981. Governor Deukmejian appointed him to the Community College Board of Governors in 1988 and he has also served on the board of directors of the Los Angeles Southwest College Foundation.
